Fun stuff, borrowed from [info]wihse

1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. No Google-ing/using IMDb search functions.

gotta love movie quotes! Beware - some naughty language to follow! )

A pony entry for a change - I know I don't post pictures of them very much anymore. It doesn't mean I don't love them to bits though!! With the lack of new releases I haven't been as inspired, and I won't lie, I have a serious pullip addiction. Photographing ponies also isn't as dynamic and varied as pullips are - you can't pose the ponies!

Anyways - There's been much unrest in the pony community lately over Hasbro's decision to go with the Core 7 group of ponies. For those who don't collect ponies, it basically means that for the next year (and hopefully no longer than that!) the majority of ponies released (if not all of them) will be the same seven ponies. Over, and over again, with slight variations in their appearance. This has many, many people *really* pissed off. On top of that, *all* of the ponies are being released in the same pose. There is reason behind it I guess - although a pretty stupid one. There is new plastic clothing for them to wear that comes with some sets, and the pose is designed for everyone to be able to wear everything.

my thoughts on the core 7... )

I am definitely in the minority, but I am actually liking a lot of what is to come in 2008. At this point, I will have at least two, if not three of all of the core seven when all is said and done. (If not more depending on if we aren't yet seeing everything that will be released) The variations are subtle, but I like them. I think it would be kind of cool to have a shelf devoted to them and to see all the incarnations lined up together.

If you haven't seen these yet and are interested, here are the newly released pictures of the 2008 line from the NY Toy Fair: http://toyfair08.asmzine.com/gallery/hasbro/my-little-pony/

Here are some pictures of the three core 7 ponies I have so far. I think they're really beautiful!

So pony lovers...am I the only one who has some love for the core 7??

Wig arrival! Hooray!! I wasn't expecting it so soon, but I won't complain!

Along with her wig, My Melody got a real name today - it's actually not so far off from the one she came with...She's now called Music.

Eye chips are still likely to change - but for now, here's Music in her new wig.

My plan was not to post any pictures of my new girl until she was complete, but I just can't resist! The wig and eyechips will change soon, but for now, here's the transitional look.

Dolly distractions are nice today. The last couple weeks have been bad - one of my cats, Nebula, started having seizures - which was totally terrifying. We took her in to the vet and had tons of tests done, and it looks like she has epilepsy. My poor little baby cat. She is on medication now, and seems to be doing well, but I have been a total wreck - I am having trouble sleeping at night, because every time I hear the smallest sound, I wake up expecting to see Nebbie having another seizure. I just need to chill out a bit and stop worrying - which has proven to be pretty much impossible.

School has been kicking my ass, and winter makes me oh so blue. I've just sort of been slipping into a bit of a depression lately, but I'm trying to combat it. Today I woke up, so angry at the world and dreading my drive to school through the snow and ice. Once I got to campus, I found out all classes had been cancelled due to a power outage! HOORAY!!! So now I am at home enjoying some free time and was able to upload some now pictures. Dolly time is so theraputic!

Dade and Jinx want to say hello!!

I'm done with class for the week, and through the three tests I've had in the past few days - time to relax, and introduce a new friend.

She's called Dade Mayhem and is a 14 year old computer nerd. She wants to be a kick ass computer hacker some day, and is well on her way. She definately has some attitude. Brian is calling her Lisa - after dubbing Jinx "Marge" because of her hair color, he thinks he's pretty clever continuing the Simpsons name theme. :P He's very tolerant of the dolls, so I figure he should be able to give them funny nicknames.

Dressing her is proving to be interesting - that hair really limits what looks good. It's fun though - her style will be fun to develop. :)

ai yi yi...haven't updated in ages!

I've been bad and not responding to comments - sorry all! I'll be back to it soon. School is kicking my butt and it's only week three of the quarter. Ugh.

Hangry arrived today - she's very interesting - pretty, and very unique. Her lips are definitely orange, so that may have to change at some point, but overall I really like her. She'll get a proper introduction post soon.

Since I'm updating...

in the event that you're not completely sick of Prunella pics...some old shots of Absinthe Jinx under the cut )

I was totally not expecting this today! Just when I had resigned myself to waiting until after christmas for her to arrive, Prunella made her entrance today! I am used to looking for the shipping notice from pullip style...so it was a sneak attack!

She's amazing, and I am so glad I preordered her. Her stock is rediculously intricate and detailed - and there are so many pieces to it! (I'll take pics later) Her face-up is exactly how I hoped, and her eyes aren't as bad as I feared. I may end up re-chipping her, but not for a while.

Anyways, here's my first quick photoshoot with Absinthe Jinx - Jinx for short. :)
